Meet the Team

Scott Collins joined the Aztec team as a certified home inspector in 2013. Prior to inspecting, Scott worked in commercial construction for eight years, where he worked on many of the new high-rise buildings in the downtown San Diego area. Since joining Aztec, Scott has become one of our most requested and reliable inspectors. Clients and agents alike appreciate Scott’s impressive knowledge of construction, as well as his ability to sift through the good and bad aspects of any property and present his findings in a logical, unalarming manner. Scott thoroughly enjoys what he does for a living, and it shows in the quality of his work! Outside of inspecting, Scott enjoys bowling, walks on the beach, and supporting the San Diego Padres.

A native of Southern California, Chris Nealis attended San Diego State University where he earned a degree in Business Adminisration: Marketing. Nealis began his career as a certified home inspector and started his own inspection company in 2006. Chris Nealis met Chris Magill, the owner of Aztec, at a CRIEA home inspection conference back in 2014 and joined the Aztec team shortly after. Nealis always stays ahead of the curve with his inspector’s education by frequently attending home inspector chapter meetings and national conventions. He currently resides in the Escondido area and assists Aztec in servicing the North County areas of San Diego and beyond. Nealis is a real people’s person; he carries a relaxed, positive attitude and takes great pride in providing detailed explanations and peace of mind to his clients. On his off days, Nealis enjoys outdoor activities such as camping or surfing, as well as spending time with his two daughters.

With two years of prior home inspection experience under his belt, Cameron joined the Aztec team in April 2017. Cameron grew up in Poway and attended San Diego State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration: Marketing. In his free time Cameron enjoys playing guitar and writing music, playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends. Cameron’s calm demeanor and attention to detail make him a great inspector, but his organizational skills have further led him to take on the role of Office Manager for Aztec. Chad Stewart is an experienced, San Diego County home inspector of 8 years. In 2000, he obtained his real estate license and practiced real estate for about four years. Growing up, Chad’s father was a home builder, which lead Chad and his brother to start their own construction company in 2005. His background in real estate and construction have helped Chad form his meticulous inspection style. As an inspector, Chad values his client interactions and prides himself on being polite and professional. In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, surfing, skateboarding, playing music, and hiking.

After 12 years of owning his own inspection company in Central Florida, Dakota DeLuca relocated to Southern California in 2017 and joined the Aztec team shortly after. Having performed several thousand inspections over his career, he is well suited to handle any and all inspection tasks. Dakota also has the expertise to conduct pool and spa inspections! When he’s not helping clients with inspection needs you’ll often find Dakota out and about, enjoying all of what beautiful San Diego outdoor living has to offer. Some of his hobbies include surfing, beach volleyball, sailing, golf and tennis even a little arts and crafts to name a few. Dakota is able to give you the same peace of mind and thorough inspection you’d come to expect with any Aztec team member.

Dallas joined the Aztec team in 2020 after six years of prior home inspection experience. Certified inspector by InterNACHI, Dallas began his home inspection career in the greater Los Angeles area, servicing both LA and Orange County. In 2017, Dallas relocated to San Diego and continued his career as a property inspection expert in his new city. Dallas now lives in Pacific Beach and enjoys taking advantage of the many outdoor activities and hobbies that San Diego has to offer. During the inspection process, Dallas especially looks forward to meeting prospective home buyers/clients and educating them about their new property!
